Sustainability is a core value of our brand and priority for us. We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to Earth. We are dedicated to making a positive impact and creating the change we want to see.

As a part of our commitment to sustainability, Good Karma is partnering with One Tree Planted @onetreeplanted to plant trees and work toward the goal of global reforestation. For every purchase we will give $1 to One Tree Planted to plant 1 tree.

One Tree Planted is a non profit organization focused on Global Reforestation. They work with over 681+ planting partners, in 80+ countries and since 2014 have planted over 100 million trees.

Trees clean our air and water, create habitat for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well being and create jobs for social impact. Trees are essential to protecting the health of our planet, and reducing the harmful effects of climate change.

It may sometimes feel as though one tree won’t make much of a difference but it does! Putting all those trees together creates forests to benefit people, nature and wildlife for years to come. While we make an impact by using natural materials, eco-friendly packaging and seed paper, it’s great to have another way to expand our efforts. It’s all connected and we are excited to connect with One Tree Planted Reforestation Projects.

Earthships

Earthships are a type of sustainable architecture, an off-grid build constructed with recycled and natural building materials designed to be self-sustainable. The green/eco-friendly homes are constructed using renewable resources like sun and rain water. They are powered by using energy from wind and solar power for electricity, they collect rain water, treat their own sewage and can also grow their own food. The structures are built using upcycled waste like bottles, cans, or metal. They’re built into the ground and the walls are built using old tires packed with dirt to regulate the temperature inside the home. The window are also placed very intentionally to allow sunlight for heat regulation and to grow food in the indoor garden. Earthships collects rain water, then filter and clean it for drinking and showers. The left over water that goes down the drain is recycled and used to water plants.

We’ve participated in Earthship building projects around the world physically and monetarily  as a part of our commitment and dedication to supporting our planet.
